Scenes from the 2000s

The Proenza Schouler spring show was the perfect way to end my New York fashion week experience. The whole thing came and went in a flash and I still couldn’t believe that I barely made it in before they closed the doors. It was the fastest/shortest show I saw all week and I was left wanting more and more. The clothes themselves were of course, unbearably cool. It evolved from a jacket tied non-chalantly around the hips to amazing acid print feathered cocktail dresses with a pit stop at the surf shop in between. All the necessary components to make the collection bold, youthful and “of-now”.
In the end all that remains in my mind are big strokes of color.
Big BEAUTIFUL strokes of color.

The PS1 bag by Proenza Schouler is like Mary Poppins, “practically perfect in every way”.

The POP party a couple weeks go was an insanely rad affair filled with killer dancing, tons of wine, tiny rice krispies treats and of course, fabulous people wearing amazing shoes. In between all the dancing, I managed to get a shot of POP’s own Dasha and Olympia rocking the coolest pairs.
Ps.I’m sorry for the cameo that third foot is making in the first picture, but I actually find it kinda hilarious.

I was at the Barneys website and came upon a page full of all the different Proenza Schouler bags and thought they looked like little mosaic tiles, and “wouldn’t it be cool if I did a portrait with them?”… so I did?
I don’t know, it seemed like a good idea at the time.
The PS1 has replaced the Old-school Marc Jacobs Stella bag as my all-time favorite.
Yes, these are the things that concern me.
